Hi, welcome to my website. My name is Lisa Autilia and I am a healer, a Regenerative Detoxification Specialist, Iridologist and an Emotional Healing Therapist. Over the last ten years I have experienced healing on many levels not only physically but mentally, emotionally and spiritually too. I have recovered from two diseases, Interstitial Cystitis and Fowlers Syndrome with many associated symptoms. I have overcome chronic UTI's, depression, infertility, both emotional and physical traumas, experienced coming off medication and changed my whole outlook on life and so much more. You can read my full story here. My passion in life is to help others who are suffering, to ignite the healer within them and introduce them into the world of true detoxification where real healing can begin.
Being a Regenerative Detoxification Specialist I prepare personalised detoxification programmes for individuals who want to improve their health conditions. Through the use of different methods I assess the weaknesses of the body and advise on herbal formulas to strengthen specific areas. Detoxification is a process of ridding the body of toxins and substances that do not serve it. I focus on bringing alkaline chemistry into the body through diet and lifestyle choices which assist the body to eliminate built up waste materials through the elimination channels (kidneys, bowels, skin). Once waste starts to leave the body it becomes cleaner and more alkaline, allowing for cells to start to awaken and thrive. Energy production can then start to return to the body leaving you feeling stronger and healthier.
As an Emotional Healing Therapist I provide a safe space for my clients to express how they feel, sometimes looking at why we feel the way we do can be uncomfortable. All people have suffered trauma, which is "distress without resolution" in their lives, so it is with compassion and understanding I will gently guide you to listen to your body and encourage you to express what you are feeling. I will endeavour to move at a pace that feels right for you whilst we discuss your problems and get down to the root cause. Working with your subconscious, I assist you to become conscious of patterns and past experiences that are coming up for healing. I will guide you to release emotional blockages using the Metaphysical Anatomy Technique. This energy healing technique is gentle yet very powerful and helps to bring balance, helping you feel whole and complete.
Iridology is a study of the iris to determine the overall health of an individual. All the nerves in our body feed back to the eyes. So when we analyse the eyes it tells us so much about the state of an persons body, such as strengths, weaknesses, levels of those weaknesses and genetics. A good quality photo of the iris is required to see detail properly.
Detoxification is an artform which when done correctly can cleanse, regenerate and heal the body at the cellular level. It strips the body of anything that doesn't serve it and releases all this through the journey of detoxification. Please see below for the services I offer.
This involves the completion of a health questionnaire. I will focus on the results and design an 8 week personalised herbal protocol to strengthen specific body tissues and aid the healing process. Basic dietary advice provided.
This involves the completion of a health questionnaire. An iridology reading and combining the results of both to allow me to design a personalised 8 week protocol. Focusing on releasing what the body no longer needs and strengthening the body at the cellular level.
This includes all in the "in depth detoxification package " above and in addition dietary advice, wellness coaching and positive mindset.
This plan combines physical, emotional and mental healing. Included is the "basic detoxification plan" above with one emotional healing session.
This involves the completion of a health questionnaire, specific herbal and antimicrobial advice. Healing tools tailored to meet your needs.
During this energy healing session, we will spend some time talking about any issues you may have and we will move at a pace that feels right for you. We will then dive deep into your inner world and speak with your subconscious mind working with your emotional and mental bodies. I will guide you to release emotional blockages using the Metaphysical Anatomy Technique. The technique itself is gentle yet powerful and will bring balance to you, helping you to feel whole and complete.

So what is Interstitial Cystitis exactly?
In this article I’m going to talk about some of the physical symptoms we can experience when suffering with this condition.
I would describe Interstitial Cystitis (IC) as a chronic, inflammatory condition. There can be many symptoms but some of the main ones are
If we break down the word Interstitial, this means “around the cells” & cystitis is a condition of the bladder.
So we have inflammation around the cells within the bladder, this basically means that there are acids in the bladder tissues and in and around the cells of the bladder walls. We all know that acids burn and hence this is why there is pain, heat and burning in the bladder area.
The urinary system is most likely working below par. It’s designed to urinate out the acidic wastes and toxins. When this system isn’t working as well as it could, acids begin to collect and build within the tissues and around the cells. If no changes are made, the acids just keep on building and the urinary system does it’s absolute best to keep filtering out these wastes.
There can be a plethora of urinary symptoms, take urinary frequency for instance. Depending on the severity of your condition, you can go to the bathroom literally anything from 10- 20+ times per hour depending on how bad your symptoms are. As night time comes, you go to the toilet before bed, get into bed and you feel your bladder tell you to go again and again! Sometimes this can carry on through the night, waking you from your sleep and leaving you absolutely exhausted.
Then there’s the bladder irritation, you are constantly aware of your bladder, it never seems to shut off.
Pelvic pain, pain during sex, worsening of symptoms after sex, depression because of the situation, all can be common traits of this condition.
Urgency symptoms, this is when you need to go to the toilet, you need to go, there is no delaying it. Often at times when you get to the toilet, there is nothing to come out! However, even just a drop of urine that comes out, seems to provide a moment of relief! In severe cases, you will see your bladder lining in the toilet. Even burning inside of the bladder like it’s on fire. When this goes on for along time, the bladder wall can become stiff and scarred from the acidic waste building up in the cells and tissues.
Interstitial Cystitis can feel just like a urinary tract infection, as many of the symptoms described above can be just that. Urine samples are sent to the lab and they always come back negative, no infection can be found. This is incredibly frustrating for anyone suffering with symptoms!
Now the important thing to realise is our bodies are always on our side. Our bladder sends signals out to warn us that things aren’t right and we need to make a change. We obviously know a change is required to stop the pain but what changes are needed?
How do we start to heal our bladder conditions? The very first step is to change the chemistry of our physical body and we do that through our diet.
The subject of diet can be very confusing and advice can be conflicting. A whole foods plant based diet is usually a good diet to aim for overall. Lowering the overall consumption of animal products and making a conscious effort to add in more fruits (go easy on the citrus fruits ) vegetables and salads.
The herb slippery elm can be a great addition to the diet. It coats the lining of the stomach and the intestines, relieving acidity, irritability and inflammation. It's best to mix a teaspoon with some water and leave to stand for 5 minutes before drinking
For substantial change to any condition we need to look at the root cause and not only at the symptoms. Small changes add up over time and improvements can be seen. This may look like a reduction in frequency or pain for instance and we must remember to use our minds to vision the outcome we desire.
Overall remember change happens constantly and we can influence the change we want to see.
Sometimes we are so consumed dealing with pain in our physical bodies that it may go amiss that our other bodies are suffering too. What do I mean by this? We are not just physical beings, we have a mental body and an emotional body too. They are equally important as our physical body if not more so.
When in the midst of a physical illness most people can only relate to their physical body, as that is where their attention is drawn to. Pain is always a message from our body to our conscious mind.
Suffering from symptoms of urinary frequency, urgency, pelvic pain and urinary retention has a massive impact on how we live our daily lives.
From a person who has mild symptoms to a person with severe symptoms, I can almost guarantee you they will not want to leave the house without knowing where they are going and whether the location has toilets. This can have a detrimental effect on their social lives and then this impacts how they feel.
Often worries and fears can creep in and stop us living our best lives. Anxiety can be high for many reasons such as the frequent need to urinate, irritation, discomfort or pain.
We have been brought up in a society where we are taught to run to the doctors, take their word as gospel, pop a pill, get a surgery and whilst sometimes this can be a good short term solution it isn’t really the answer to true health.
There are some small steps that we can take to help us take back control of our circumstances.
Talking to a good friend or an Emotional Healing Therapist can start to lessen the burden. The saying, “a problem shared is a problem halved” is so true.
Addressing how we feel with the right professional help can make a big difference to how we move forward with our healing.
Our minds are wired for survival and to look to protect us from danger. Here’s some of the thoughts that may run through your mind when in the midst of symptoms;
“No one understands what I’m going through”
“I can’t live this way forever”
“No one seems to care about me”
These types of thoughts can then lead to us feeling isolated and alone. Fear creeps in and starts overshadowing us. Some people can get stuck in this vibration and have quite a hard healing journey.
We have the power to change our thoughts and once we do this, we can create a better life for ourselves. The best technique to help you start changing your thoughts is to become aware of the things in your life that are going right. Then everyday write a short list of things that you are grateful for.
It might look something like this,
I am grateful for my health
I am grateful for my family (break it down even further)
I am grateful for my friends
I am grateful that I can read
You get the picture.
Your life won’t be different when you wake up the next day. However over time this small change in focus will make a difference to how you feel and that will start showing up in your life in a positive way. We can start to look at a whole picture of our lives and not just what our pain directs us to!
Please understand even though many people haven’t heard of IC in the mainstream even now, know that you are not the only one suffering from these symptoms. You are not alone in this.
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms now and feeling low, you can connect with me and see if you would like to work with me.
To heal from Interstitial Cystitis, it is important to look at all aspects of yourself, body, mind and soul. Take small steps today to change your future, to heal your body and leave you feeling great once again.
Forever grateful
Lisa Autilia
Hello, welcome to my website, my name is Lisa Autilia and I am a Regenerative Detoxification Specialist and an Emotional Healing Therapist. I have many passions in life, one of which is to be healthy in mind, body and soul.
To get a sense of who I am, I want to share with you a little bit about my background and how I came to find myself on a healing journey.
I come from a loving Italian family, we socialise over dinner frequently, preparing and cooking food is a big part of our culture and I absolutely love to eat!
I have always loved to exercise and be active and I especially love to dance and swim. I would describe myself as a perfectionist especially in my teenage years! I have always known what I want and have worked hard to achieve my goals.
On 10th June 2010, I went into hospital for a routine camera. When I awoke from the anesthetic, I found I had developed urinary retention. In the UK this condition is known as Fowlers Syndrome, usually affecting women under the age of 30 years old. Approximately five months after suffering with Fowlers Syndrome, I developed a condition named, Interstitial Cystitis (IC).
I spent a large amount of time at doctors appointments and hours visiting NHS hospitals and private hospitals too. I underwent surgeries and had more antibiotics than I care to remember. Work became extremely difficult for me and my social life and active lifestyle completely stopped.
My health deteriorated at a rapid speed largely due to taking high dose antibiotics.
My biggest motivator to get healthy was my pain. I developed a chronic UTI, I was constantly aware of my bladder for three years. I suffered with severe frequency, burning and irritation. On top of this my nervous system was struggling to function. Sometimes I had clear signals to go to the bathroom, other times there was no feeling at all. Although the symptoms above scared me and caused me distress, it wasn’t as scary to me as complete urinary retention which I dealt with for two years. It was hell day and night. I tried everything I could, NHS doctors, Natropathic doctors, Functional Medicine doctors and alternative therapies such as homeopathy, herbalism, acupuncture and chiropractors. Small improvements occurred at times but overall I was still desperately ill.
I tried every diet I could find including the Atkins diet, GAPS diet, the ketogenic diet, gluten free diet, high protein diet, low oxalate diet, the whole 30 and many more. I changed my mind every couple of months, I was completely lost!
I tried juice fasting in 2014. I juiced fresh fruit and vegetables and carried out several one week juice fasts but I never saw any improvements. I also started high dose antibiotics at approximately the same time. As antibiotics increase acidity in the body and kill precious microbes, this was highly likely the reason I didn’t see improvements. However as I didn’t understand the effects of the chemistry I was putting into my body and because it was so alien to me (not eating solid food for days) I gave up.
Towards the end of December 2015 something started to change in me. I began to seek out new ways of healing.
I realised I had to stop taking high dose antibiotics. I stopped and restarted antibiotic therapy numerous times. The antibiotics suppressed my symptoms and reduced my pain dramatically. Eventually the antibiotics stopped blocking my pain altogether and I really had no choice but to stop taking them as they longer offered me any benefit. I was left in despair. I literally felt like I was on fire inside (my bladder, knees, inside of legs, stomach area all burnt, especially in the evening). It was unbearable and I mostly just cried and shouted my way through the days.
I spent thousands of pounds on doctors, surgeries and supplements and the pain didn't shift. I started to realise that I knew more about my condition than the doctors and therapists I had seen. It dawned on me that I was the only one who was going to get me better and I realised it was up to me to take charge of my health and stop handing it over to other people. I took my power back that day. I was so determined to get my health back and live my life.
I started a new batch of diets, including a plant based diet, vegan diet, fruitarism and a raw food diet. I went on juice fasts, starting with one day at a time building my way up seven days.
I finally began to see improvements, I also suffered many healing crisis and herxheimer reactions (nausea, chills, dizziness, being sick) not much fun but a sure sign change was happening. I really didn’t know what I was doing, I wasn’t working with a coach because I didn’t know they even existed. No one had heard of my conditions at the time, especially Fowler’s syndrome.
It has been a roller coaster of a journey, so many things happened to me and I wouldn’t change a thing. I now look at what happened to me on the 10th June 2010 as one of my biggest blessings. The situation absolutely broke me, it made me look at myself from every aspect, I had to dive deep inside my soul for the strength to get back up, to find a way out. It took time but I got there.
I said goodbye for good to Interstitial Cystitis in October 2018! I want other people to know that it is possible to heal from this condition.
Let me show you how to truly hydrate and alkalize your body on a cellular level, where only real healing can begin.
My mission is to help people who want to heal themselves. Drawing from my experience and knowledge, I will prepare protocols based on individuals unique symptoms whilst taking into account where their body is currently at.
Have faith in yourself as I do now in myself.
